EACS and the Environment
EACS is located in the traditional fishing port of Lowestoft, Suffolk; the most easterly point in the UK and the offshore wind energy capital of Britain, home to Gulliver; the UK's tallest land based wind turbine.
With our area being the heart of renewable energy in the UK, EACS understands the importance of reducing our impact on the environment not only through the products that we supply but in all our business activities.
The paper products we supply come from renewable sources and are sourced in accordance with the strict environmental guidelines outlined by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). Where possible the majority of the paper products we supply are also available as a 100% recycled alternative, please inform us if this is a requirement of your business prior to obtaining a quotation.
EACS has a very pro-active approach to reducing our impact on the environment and has recently introduced a new environmentally friendly alternative to our popular integrated label forms. The silicon linerless product can be supplied on 100% recycled paper and has significantly less silicon than standard integrated label forms. These forms were developed in Europe to meet new legislative requirements and are the most environmentally friendly integrated label forms available in the UK today. Please visit our specialist integrated label division at www.pickitpackit.co.uk for more details.
EACS has introduced an internal recycling policy in order to reduce the waste that we send to landfill and to help reduce our carbon footprint. We are currently undertaking an independent assessment of our business in association with EnviroWise, to help reduce our impact on the environment, this report will also contain suggestions for an environmentally friendly new build as part our planned office relocation and expansion.
We recognise the impact our industry has on the environment and by working with manufacturers and associations that carry the same understanding we are helping to ensure a greener future for our industry.
